The purpose of this proposed project is to provide nurses knowledge on how to properly care for sexual assault victims that present to Baystate Medical Center's Emergency Department. The education provided was formulated with information from the Emergency Nurses Association, evidence based guidelines developed by Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program.
