The Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Education Series will expose ED nurses and staff to the complexity and components of disaster management. The series will cover disaster management systems, including incident command, the process of decontamination, blast and radiation considerations and safety, active shooter safety, pediatric considerations in disaster management, and Baystate's disaster plan and guidelines. This bi-monthly, one hour lecture will present different topics each month.

Accreditation Statement
In support of improving patient care, Baystate Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. 

Target audience: Emergency department staff with a focus on nursing.
