Facilitated Discussion: Welcome and Reflection on our Experiences (8-9:00)

  1. Reflect on individual experiences with the educator’s lens since BERST

  2. Reflect on diversity across BERST

Workshop: Visual Strategies with the Portrait of Michelle Obama (9-11:30)

  1. Apply an educational lens to the discussion of gender in the workplace.

  2. Reflect on gender as a visual part of identity interpreted by others.

  3. Discuss agency over our own professional identity and ways to support the agency of others.

  4. Reflect on the role of a community like BERST to support teaching and leadership development in fostering conversations around diversity
