Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1. Translate an understanding of basic pharmacology concepts as well as the most frequently used medications in intermediate care.
2. Identify the most common cardiovascular diagnoses found in the intermediate care population and the treatments typically used.
3. Discuss care needs for the patient with respiratory dysfunction.
4. Explain the care needs for a patient requiring a ventilator.
