Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Use the referral process for sexual assault victims 12 years of age and older.
  2. Apply the protocol for paging Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) and the Rape Crisis Advocates (YWCA).
  3. Incorporate the resources available in the department into their practice.
  4. Perform the proper procedure for chain of custody of any evidence.
