Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Discuss the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and complications of Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome.
2. Assess literature pertaining to the use of benzodiazepines and barbiturates for treatment of Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome
3. Create a treatment plan for a patient with Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome
