Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Describe the pathogenesis of sickle cell disease and identify associated complications and treatments
  2. Describe the buprenorphine-naloxone microdose induction method and its use in patients with sickle cell disease
  3. Evaluate data for alternative pain control methods (ketamine, crizanlizumab) in patients with sickle cell disease
