Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1. Briefly describe previous literature regarding duration of therapy in Gram-negative bacteremia

2. Briefly describe the potential role of biomarkers guiding antibiotic durations of therapy

3. Discuss the study data evaluating the role of C-reactive protein in guiding antibiotic treatment duration for uncomplicated Gram-negative bacteremia.
