The University of Massachusetts Medical School Baystate supports the continuing education of our faculty, residents, students, staff and guests with the presentation of educational lectures.  The purpose is to present educational programs that address practice problems or provide updates on new developments in best practices.  The Population-based Urban and Rural Community Health (PURCH) Faculty Meetings are essential educational activities for Longitudinal Preceptors, Learning Community Mentors, Doctoring & Clinical Skills Faculty, and all other faculty which provide teaching and mentorship to the PURCH students.  Skills learned in these meetings will prepare faculty to develop attainable learner goals, provide regular feedback, and improve classroom-based and/or bedside teaching, while aiming to provide patient-centered, team-based care.

In support of improving patient care, Baystate Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
