This 16 hr course is designed to prepare new nurses and nurses new to intermediate care, to provide competent, effective care to intermediate care patients and their families. The course includes 7 lectures covering the major systems of the body with respect to normal states, diseases, treatment modalities and interventions. Covid modules are added to supplement this course as well as case scenarios to help reinforce the education and develop critical thinking skills.

Several types of equipment used in intermediate care are displayed in a skills class to include demonstration and return demonstration learning.
