Global Objectives:
Our objective for reviewing challenging cases is to ensure patients receive thoughtful, modern surgical care that is minimally influenced by providers’ implicit biases, incomplete or dated knowledge bases, of lack of understanding of standards of care and community norms in practice. Participants will leave each session feeling confident that they can recruit the knowledge gained and apply it immediately to their clinical practice, to make better informed, up to date, and optimal recommendations to their patients. The end result of this course is to build provide thoughtful, modern, equitable care to the patients of our community, even when their clinical scenario is unusual or lies at the margin of current practice knowledge.
