Dr. Belforti completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency year at Baystate Medical Center and stayed on as an Academic Hospitalist for the last 16 years. Over the course of her career, Dr. Belforti has received a Masters in Medical Education and Leadership and has developed a career as a medical education leader across the continuum, undergraduate and graduate education, as well as continuing professional development. Dr. Belforti is the Associate Dean of Education for the UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate Regional Campus and oversees the Population Health Urban and Rural Community Health Track. Dr. Belforti currently co-directs many leadership programs at Baystate Health including Mentors Matter a longitudinal peer mentorship program for faculty and advanced practice providers, the Physician Leadership Academy, and the Department of Medicine Leadership Institute.
