Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1.  Explain the principles of medical improvisation and how they align with key communication strategies in medicine
2.  Practice improvisation exercises that focus on specific communication components such as deep listening, empathy and partnership
3.  Propose ways that medical improvisation can impact our daily medical practice, and how we care for patients, families, colleagues and ourselves
