Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1|Identify clinical and radiographic features of a high-risk airway tumor that increase the risk of airway collapse with induction.
2|Explain the physiologic changes associated with induction of anesthesia that can precipitate loss of airway patency.
3|Apply a structured approach to awake airway management, including topicalization, sedation strategy, and rescue planning.
