Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1| Describe the current and emerging glucose-monitoring technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and their applications in the operating room and ICU.
2| Evaluate the accuracy, limitations, and clinical challenges of glucose-monitoring technologies in perioperative and critically ill patients. 
3| Apply glucose monitoring data and technology assisted insulin delivery strategies to optimize glycemic management and improve patient safety in the OR and ICU.
