Description: This Schwartz Rounds session will focus on stories, and experiences of health care professionals of different disciplines who practice gratitude as a tool to extend compassionate care toward themselves, to create a culture of collegial appreciation, and to focus on positive moments in the midst of challenging times at work, and beyond. The panel members will share how their practice of gratitude impacts their patient care. |
Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1| Reflect on practices of gratitude shared through the stories, and experiences of various health care colleagues.
2| Discover the benefits of integrating a moment of gratitude into one's daily life.
3| Discuss the impact of compassionate self-care practices on patient care.
4|Discuss and deepen understanding how a practice of gratitude creates an environment of psychological safety for patients, and staff.
