This two hour course will provide general education on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This includes symptoms, diagnostics, and management. This education provides information on the multidisciplinary roles in an ambulatory gastroenterology clinic, including that of the medical assistant. It identifies RN and MA responsibilities in the ambulatory setting and how they can collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to care for this complex population.   
Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1|Define inflammatory bowel disease
2|Differentiate between Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis
3|Identify potential lab and diagnostic tests that can diagnose IBD
4|Identify treatments for IBD
