Description:
"Making an accurate and timely diagnosis for our patients is often a challenging process and missed or delayed diagnoses are all too common in healthcare. Traditionally, medicine has viewed diagnosis as a process that occurs solely in the brain of physicians and advanced-practice providers. More recently however, the diagnostic process is increasingly understood as a complex process that emerges from the interaction of many team members, patients/caregivers, tools, and technologies. In this Schwartz Rounds, participants will discuss the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork and effective communication in the diagnostic process."
