Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1. Review indications and types of operative vaginal deliveries.

2. List the Contraindications of operative vaginal deliveries.

3. Review complications/risks of operative vaginal deliveries.

4. Describe the clinical features of caput, cephalohematoma, subgaleal bleeds.

5. Identify presentation and complications of subgaleal hemorrhage.

6. Discuss the management of infants with subgaleal hemorrhage.
