Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1|Organize a rural trauma team with defined roles and responsibilities for the members
2|Assess and resuscitate a trauma patient, rapidly identifying and treating life-threatening injuries
3|Initiate the transfer process early and avoid delays in definitive care
4| Communicate effectively within the team and between facilities
5|Establish a performance improvement process
