Trauma-Informed Care and Nervous System Regulation: How to Create Safe Spaces and Improve Well-Being
Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1|Summarize the findings of the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study and how it led to the field of trauma-informed care.
2|Explain what makes a healthcare provider trauma informed.
3|Describe common nervous system responses to threat and the importance of nervous system regulation in providing trauma-informed care, increasing resilience, and decreasing burnout.
4|Develop skills to recognize the state of your nervous system and utilize tools to increase resilience and nervous system flexibility.
