Objectives

1| Define the stages of Type 1 diabetes
2| Identify patients at high risk for development of Type 1 diabetes
3| Interpret results of screening autoantibodies and determine further follow up or referral
4| Summarize potential benefits of available treatment option to delay the onset of Type 1 diabetes
