Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Identify the general spectrum of activity of sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim (TMP/SMX)
2. Discuss the literature behind using different type of dosing weights (IBW,TBW) when selecting a TMP/SMX dose
3. Design a treatment regimen containing TMP/SMX given patient specific variables
