Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Discuss the importance of shared decision making.
2. Apply practical tools for engaging patients to participate in decisions of care. 
3. Discuss specific guidelines of the new diabetes treatment algorithm.
4. Increase appropriate prescribing of newer medication classes including SGLT2 and GLP-1 agents.
