Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
- Recall current guideline recommendations for treatment of methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) endocarditis
- Understand the inoculum effect and what role it can play in persistent MSSA bacteremia
- Interpret and apply primary literature about salvage therapy for MSSA bacteremia to clinical practice as appropriate
