Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Review the general diagnosis and management of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
  2. Explain the mechanism of euglycemic diabetic ketoacidosis (euDKA) and its management.
  3. Describe the mechanism by which SGLT2-inhibitors cause euDKA and precautions that should be taken in patients taking these agents
