Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
- Become familiar with the differential diagnosis of fetal intra-abdominal calcifications.
- Review sonographic findings observed with different fetal intra-abdominal calcifications.
- Gain an appreciation for the clinical relevance of each diagnosis.
- Understand the antenatal and obstetrical consideration for fetal intra-abdominal calcifications.
- Based on the differential, discuss the workup of an infant with hepatic/abdominal calcifications.
- Discuss the possible treatment options and long term complications of hepatic/abdominal calcifications.
