Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1. Determine the evaluation of fetal tachyarrhythmias and differential diagnoses.

2. Identify the risk factors and sequelae of acute and chronic placental disruption.

3. Develop the framework for the medical management of placental abruption.

4. Identify the maternal risks associated with placental abruption.

5. Discuss case of newborn who failed to respond to adenosine.

6. Define fetal/newborn tachycardia.

7. Distinguish characteristics between SVT and AFL.

8. Review management of SVT and AFL.

9. Discuss the prognosis and follow up of AFL.
