Morbidity & Mortality - Spinal Cord Ischemia and Lumbar Drain Management in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms Repair
Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1|Describe the risk factors, pathophysiology and management of spinal cord ischemia as it relates to thoracoabdominal aortic surgery.
2|Evaluate strategies for the prevention of perioperative spinal cord ischemia.
3|Discuss the role of CSF drainage in the management of spinal cord ischemia and complications related to lumbar drain placement.
4|Review guidelines for lumbar drain management in the Operating Room and Intensive Care Unit.
