Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1|Recognize when to transfuse, and the role of readiness and recognition to expedite response
2|Discuss how to Transfuse, including the rate, route and tools available to aid resuscitation, such as Cell Saver, rapid infuser/warmer
3|Determine what to transfuse: which blood products and in what ratio
4|Monitor for and recognize complications: Transfusion reactions, TACO/TRALI 
5|Develop an approach for patients who refuse blood/blood products
