New nurses hired into medical surgical units need a foundational knowledge beyond what was learned in a nursing program. This course is designed to provide best practices in assessment and nursing care/interventions of the medical surgical patient related to the cardiac, respiratory and neurologic systems specific to newly hired nurses.
