Objectives

1| Describe the pathophysiology of cardiac arrest and summarize the key components of ACLS management

2| Explain the mechanism of action of sodium bicarbonate

3| Assess “Sodium Bicarbonate for In-Hospital Cardiac Arrest” to evaluate sodium bicarbonate administration during cardiac arrest

4| Apply current evident and guideline recommendations to determine the appropriate role of sodium bicarbonate in the management of cardiac arrest
