Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the positive impacts for the laboratory and patient care by changing the collection tube type for performing Troponin and HS Troponin testing.
2. Discuss the impact of "Add-on" troponin tests on the lab processes and turn around times.
3. Discuss the CK-MB Choosing Wisely initiative for CK-MB testing in AMI patients, changes made to date at BMC and recommended practice to provide quality patient care.
