Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1.  Discuss documentation of a neuro assessment and unit standards of documentation in the EMR.
2.  Discuss neuro anatomy and physiology.
3.  Relate structure to function in a neuro exam.
4. Discuss the components of a neuro exam .
5.  Distinguish the different types of seizures.
6.  Describe the assessment and treatment of seizure patients.
7.  Identify potential complications of seizures .
8.  Discuss neurological disorders including headache, CNS infections, degenerative disorders and neuromuscular and autoimmune disorders. 

9.  Discuss treatment and nursing management of neurological disorders.
