Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Review the common and uncommon but potentially life-threatening infectious conditions in the head and neck
2. Describe the typical patterns of spread of head and neck infections with attention to the orbit, intracranial space, airway, vasculature, and thorax
3. Demonstrate the roles of CT and MRI in the work-up of head and neck infections
