Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Verbalize an understanding of key drivers for Emergency Department optimization and the performance metrics as it relates to throughput in the ED.
2. verbalize an understanding of the strategies used to mitigate throughput challenges in the ED.

3.verbalize an understanding of the importance of efficiency and accuracy with using the Emergency Severity Index tool.
