Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Identify care for a patient with a left ventricular assist device (LVAD).
2. Identify system components of LVAD.
3. Respond and troubleshoot emergency alarms.
4. Communicate effectively with the LVAD team.
