Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the roles of the members of the health care team in their respective responsibilities for quality care.
2. Describe the PFO closure procedure and its risks.
3. Cite the benefits of PFO closure in the appropriately selected patient.
4. Select the appropriate candidates for PFO closure using diagnostic testing.
