Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the roles of the members of the health care team in their respective responsibilities for quality care.
2. Define manifestation of syphilis.
3. Describe Treatment and follow up of syphilis.
4. Review the signs/symptoms of congenital syphilis in the neonate.
5. Discuss initial workup and treatment of infants born to syphilis positive mothers.
6. Review long-term outcomes and monitoring for infants with confirmed/suspected congenital syphilis.
