Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Describe the pathophysiology, etiology, and current status epilepticus treatment recommendations
  2. Evaluate new evidence regarding the safety/efficacy of second-line anti-epileptic drugs (AED’s) in benzodiazepine-resistant status epilepticus
  3. Apply current guidelines and new evidence to patient cases
