Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Describe delirium and the causes, treatment, and preventative measures
  2. Interpret the results of the journal article titled “Efficacy of low-dose prophylactic quetiapine on delirium prevention in critically ill patients”
  3. Formulate an informed decision if prophylactic quetiapine should be used to prevent delirium in the ICU
