Day 2: Panel of residents, influencers and response
2020 was a year like no other: the perfect storm of social injustice, health inequity and a 100-year pandemic! In this session, we will hear from a medical student, a resident, a DIO and a CEO. Each presenter will reflect on the past year and their hopes for the future. This across-the- continuum presentation will be eye-opening as we determine what experiences we had in common and what reactions may have been unique dependent upon our respective roles and realities.
Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Discuss the value of ethnicity, diversity and inclusion as integral to transformational change
2. Apply learnings to successfully empower patients regardless of social determinants of health.
3. Advance strategies for well-being and courage under stress in both individuals and institutions.
