Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the outpatient referral screening process of benign hematology consults at Baystate Springfield and Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
2. Define the causes, initial workup, and management decisions of our most common outpatient benign hematology referrals, including anemia, leukocytosis, polycythemia, and thrombocytopenia.
