Objectives

  1. Discuss the overview of epidemiology of fluid overload and outcomes in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury
  2. Discuss newer evidence outlining net ultrafiltration rate and morality and renal recovery
  3. Describe the principles of fluid management in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury
