Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Describe the difference between free ceftriaxone levels in patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) compared to other patients.
  2. Analyze the outcomes of a trial comparing ceftriaxone 1g vs 2g in the ICU.
  3. Determine if ceftriaxone dosing should be altered at your practice site.
