Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1. Describe the roles of the members of the health care team in their respective responsibilities for quality care.
2. Discuss evolution of liver transplantation surgery.
3. Review current organ transplant wait list and allocation system.
4. Discuss indications and contraindications for transplantation.
5. Discuss co-morbidities of end stage liver disease.
6. Review physiological stages of a liver transplant surgery and various surgical techniques affecting anesthetic management.
7. Discuss intraoperative transplant anesthesia fellowship opportunity.
