Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  1. Define key terminology and concepts related to gender and sexual identities
  2. Begin to understand how race, class, culture, and other identities intersect with LGBTQIA+ identities
  3. Identify structural and interpersonal barriers that LGBTQIA+ employees face in workplaces
  4. Demonstrate basic LGBTQIA+-inclusive behaviors relevant to health and human services workplaces, such as inquiring respectfully about pronouns and discussing all families respectfully
