Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

  • Name 2 behaviors that indicate they are dysregulated or identify situations that cause them to be dysregulated.
  • Name 2 reflective practice/regulation strategies that they use for THEMSELVES
  • Name at least 2 behaviors that indicate a caregiver (or child) is triggered or dysregulated.
  • Name at least 2 interventions to help caregiver become regulated and/or help child become regulated.
  • Name at least 2 developmentally-sensitive interventions to help process traumatic experiences
  • Name at least 2 interventions to help balance the needs of the child and the caregiver in the presence of triggering material
  • Increase awareness of own personal and socio-cultural biases in the delivery of trauma and developmentally-informed work
  • Describe three components of CPP that they would highlight if they were teaching CPP
  • Name three resources (e.g. books, videos, activities) you use when conducting CPP treatment
  • Describe two considerations when working with a caregiver that has harmed a child
