Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:
1.  Explain how interactions with transport personnel can be a very important part of delivering compassionate care.
2.  Define how interactions with patient transport can provide continuity and may be instrumental in helping bring out important details and information from hospitalized patients.
3.  Determine how as with interactions with any other hospital personnel, the transporter's style, mood, and degree of professionalism, can highly impact the patient's sense of well-being and the patient experience.
