Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, attendees should be able to:

1. Distinguish medical PTSD as an entity affecting patients and families. 
2. Describe how medical PTSD can manifest in practice.
3. Identify some tools and approaches to manage and problem solve-ideally to maintain the therapeutic alliance, optimize care and to connect families to key supports.
